Repairs on SR 157 to begin immediately

Weather permitting, crews will be closing State Route 157 immediately on Lookout Mountain at the intersection with SR 136 for an emergency pipe repair, according to Walker County Government.

The repairs should be completed Wednesday, and a detour will be in place during the closure.

The repairs will be from June 8 to Wednesday, June 10.

To detour, drivers traveling north on SR 157 will turn left on to SR 136 and then take SR 189 north to SR 157.
