Lamar Alexander Visits Chattanooga

 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — He is a former governor, senator, secretary of education, and served under ten presidents.

Lamar Alexander released a book detailing his life, which is already a New York Times Best seller.

Senator Bob Corker interviewed Senator Alexander at the rotary club today at the convention center.

Before his appearance at the rotary, Senator Alexander sat down with WDEF and discussed his memories of the past and his view for the future of Chattanooga.

Fmr. Senator Lamar Alexander told us, “Look how things have changed in Chattanooga and in our state, I mean people are moving to Tennessee. The auto industry is grown from one auto supplier to 1000 family incomes are up significantly more than any other southern state, so I think we just need to keep the wagon in the road.”

Senator Alexander said that with AI and Quantum developments in Chattanooga, there’s a lot to look forward to in our future.

When asked by Former Senator Corker if he misses politics, Senator Alexander answered simply, “No.”
