Fallen tree damages Lookout Valley home during severe storms

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Strong winds and heavy rain moved through the Chattanooga area throughout Monday evening, leaving behind reports of storm damage across the city.

On Adkins Road in Lookout Valley, a tree fell onto the front of a home.

A neighbor told us she was watching the storm from inside her home when the tree came down.

“So, the storm came, I was on the phone, and the next thing I knew, a neighbor came down the street and told me. We came out, and I called the owner. He was at work,” said Pat Delashmitt.

The homeowner later confirmed that the tree destroyed his porch area. Fortunately, the inside of the home was not damaged.

No injuries were reported.
