RISE Chattanooga to receive an AARP Community Challenge “Flagship Grant”

CHATTANOOGA, TN.- RISE Chattanooga will receive an AARP Community Challenge Flagship Grant” for public space improvement.

The $10,000 grant is to transform a vacant lot into an accessible pocket park

The Park will be located on the corner of Glass Street and Chamberlain Avenue. 

The Park will include features such as a small raised garden, seating, and paths. 

“AARP does a lot of different things and the grants are one of those things and we’ve given similar community challenge grants to, this is the fourth organization in Chattanooga over the past few years and I’m really excited to see how this turns out.” says Loria Hubbard, AARP Associate State Director of Outreach.
