Chattanooga Firefighters rescue man fallen 20 feet into trench

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga Firefighters went to the 12th Street Monday afternoon on the side of the TVA building after a contract worker fell 20 feet down into a concrete trench beside the building.

They got into the trench to give the patient some medical attention before they got him out.

The Fire Department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team did a technical rope rescue.

It took about 25 to 30 minutes.

The victim was taken to Erlanger for more treatment.
