Local Company Taking Part in World Skydiving Day
MARION COUNTY, TN (WDEF) — Saturday is World Skydiving Day, and a local company is taking part.
Chattanooga Skydiving Company is owned by a second-generation skydiver.
Justin Silvia’s father was a parachutist during World War II, and his sons are skydivers too.
Skydivers around the world are trying to break the record for the most amount of recorded skydives in one day.
Justin Silvia, Owner Chattanooga Skydiving Company told us “All the participants all over the world you’re going to be registered in a Guinness book of records will submit all the names to the United States Parachute Association and so if you’re jumping tomorrow and we have over 25 people jumping for the first time tomorrow and so you’ll be part of a record.”
There’s still time to sign up and take part. Weather permitting, they’ll be jumping out of airplanes and breaking records Saturday.
