Suspect Dead After Walker County Officer Involved Shooting

A suspect is dead in Walker County after authorities responded to a domestic situation.

The incident happened Sunday night in Fort Oglethorpe.

Crews were called to a home near the 1800 block of Lafayette Road where a woman told authorities she had been beaten.

The suspect came out of the home armed with a rifle.

Deputies shot and killed him.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.
