Friday Lineup For 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival

There is a dismal forecast for this year’s 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival at Ross’s Landing.

But the show goes on, rain or shine.

So here is the Friday lineup so you can decide where to catch some free entertainment around the rain.

6:00-6:30 Dismembered Tennesseans

Our local legends, featuring 3 Sisters backer Fletcher Bright on fiddle.  It wouldn’t be a 3 Sisters Fest without them.

6:50-7:50 The Railsplitters

Rising young band from Colorado features male and female singers/players.

8:10-9:10 Della Mae

Grammy nominated, all female band supporting their 3rd album that is just out.  They also played a Scenic City Roots show a couple of years ago.  The Boston-born group is now based in Nashville.

9:30-11:00 Hot Rize

The headliner is the legendary group founded in 1978.  Hot Rize would stretch the boundries of Bluegrass, without abandoning it.  And it launched the career of mandolinist/vocalist Tim O’Brien.
After a 24 year hiatus from the recording studio, the group reunited for a new album last year and continue to tour.  But for how long?
