Criminal trial date set for former Red Bank police officer

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – A trial date has been set for a former Red Bank police officer who was indicted on three felonies.

Mark Kaylor was back in court Thursday morning with his attorney Lee Davis.

Judge Tom Greenholtz scheduled Kaylor’s trial to begin on Tuesday April 19. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for April 5.

Kaylor was indicted earlier this year on aggravated assault, official misconduct and reckless endangerment charges.

The charges stem from a video taped recording of Kaylor beating Madina Resendez during a traffic stop-arrest back in April of 2014.

Kaylor resigned from the Red Bank Police Department the day before he was indicted.
