Silverdale Baptist Academy vs. Boyd Buchanan School

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Top-ranked Boyd Buchanan was looking to close out a perfect regular season Friday night as they entertained cross-town rival Silverdale.

The undefeated Bucs have outscored opponents 318-83 this season and were looking to add to that tally.

The Buccaneer defense came to play early as Jake Harden forced the fumble and Eli Legg makes the recovery on Silverdale’s first possession, setting up Cooper Hodge’s first score from deep inside Sea Hawk territory.

The Bucs were just getting started.

After forcing a Silverdale punt, Buccaneer Running Back E J Matthews punches it in from a few yards out, putting the Bucs up 14-0.

Silverdale starting to feel the pressure as they dial up a little trickery, looking to connect on the double-pass, but Cooper Hodge sniffs it out, intercepting the attempt and taking it all the way to the house for a 50 plus yard pick-6.

And the Bucs just keep pouring it on.

Just before the half, Isiah Dillard breaks a huge run coming right into your living room, putting Boyd Buchanan up 28-0.

The Bucs would block a punt in the end zone for a quick score before halftime and would cruise to an easy victory.

Boyd wins it 49-0.
