Chattanooga residents hold rally to support Insure TN
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Concerned Chattanoogans met at City Hall Tuesday to rally in support of Insure Tennessee.
The plan covers the nearly 25,000 Hamilton County residents who don’t have affordable health insurance.
Some of those residents at Tuesday night’s rally included a U.S. veteran who spent about a year in the healthcare coverage gap before finally getting access to Tenn Care.
Insure Tennessee helps cover that gap.
Pamela Weston is a Community Activist. She said, "The people in Chattanooga, that’s one thing that I think we can really brag on them about is getting the information, getting the facts, not falling prey to misinformation or political ideologies, that sort of thing, but actually doing what’s best for the people of Tennessee."
Chattanooga City Council members passed a symbolic resolution to support Insure Tennessee.
