Ridgeland High School vs. LaFayette High School
If the Panthers beat rival LaFayette, they’ll qualify for a three team mini-playoff on Monday to settle the final post-season spot in their region.
Of course, the Ramblers would love to spoil the playoff dreams of their county rival.
Ramblers wouldn’t have much luck.
On Ridgeland’s first drive, Chris Henderson muscles in to give them a 7-0 lead.
Later in the 1st, Ridgeland in the red zone again, and it’s Caderius Word with the ball.
He dashes to the corner of the end zone for the score, Panthers up 14-0.
Panthers have the ball again in the 2nd.
Chris Henderson is like the human bowling ball.
He’s not letting any Ramblers hitch a ride.
Henderson to the house to make it 21-0.
The Ramblers then had it deep in their own territory, and Houston Lumpkin wasn’t ready for this snap.
Panthers recover the loose ball.
Then late in the 2nd, Ivy Boehm looks deep for Luke Edwards.
Edwards has it, but the ball is squirming, and it turns into a Ramblers interception.

Ridgeland wins 41-0 to advance to the mini-playoff on Monday.
