Miller Park shooting

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) –  A suspect is in custody for a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the 900 block of Market Street.

Chattanooga Police were called there for a disorder between two people, but they were gone when officers arrived.

Police say the victim, 24-year-old Darrius Starling, was found at the corner of Broad and 10th Streets with two non-life threatening gunshots wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police found the suspect near the 800 block of 11th Street.

The suspect was detained, and is being interviewed by Violent Crimes Investigators.

Police say this crime is not gang related, and continue to investigate.
