Train hits truck in Dayton update

Dayton, TN (WDEF) – Dayton authorities released the name of the driver of a truck that was struck by a train Wednesday on Walnut Grove Road. 

30-year-old Cody Brice Jensen died from injuries he suffered when his pickup was hit by a Norfolk Southern train, and pushed more than a 100 yards down the tracks.

Traffic Sergeant Dean Smith says witnesses reported Jenson drove around the crossing arms into the path of the train.
