Mocs Set to Open SoCon Basketball Season
The Mocs basketball team has already racked up eleven non-conference wins this season, tieing a school record.
But for head coach Matt McCall, that record means nothing as UTC opens Southern Conference play tomorrow against the Citadel.
"I don’t care what league you are in. Southern Conference, OVC, SEC, or ACC, every single night, it’s going to be a battle and a war. With the record we’ve had obviously the last two or three years. We’re not sneaking up on anybody in the Southern Conference. Every single time we step across the line, we better be ready to go because teams are going to be gunning for us."
The Citadel leads the nation in scoring, averaging 93 points a game. Tip time is 1pm in Charleston, SC.
