As Powerball Numbers Grow, One Chattanoogan Already Cashing In

The record $675 million jackpot has now grown to $700 million by brisk sales.

But one local player could already be cashing in.

The Tennessee Lottery reports that someone here matched five of the winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing to win $1 million.

The winner has not come forward yet, but bought the ticket at the Mapco/Fast Food and Fuel on Cummings Highway.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night.

So we can expect the jackpot to grow even larger before then.
