Driver crashes his own vehicle to prevent tragedy on Dayton Blvd.

It happened on a steep hill that leads from the Citygreen apartment complex to Dayton Blvd.

According to a Citygreen employee, a driver with no brakes crashed his vehicle into a tree to avoid hitting cars on Dayton Blvd. The employee said the driver was en-route to an auto repair shop to get new brakes put on his vehicle. The driver reportedly drove down the long steep heel from the apartment complex that leads out onto Dayton Blvd. When the driver realized his brakes were completely gone, he crashed into a tree to avoid hitting traffic on Dayton Blvd. According to witnesses, the driver was okay.
