Date for Purple Heart Ceremony Announced for Chattanooga Marine

U.S.Marine Corp Officials confirm a date has been set for a Purple Heart ceremony in Chattanooga..

This particular ceremony will honor Sgt. DeMonte Cheeley, a Marine recruiter who was shot in the leg by home-grown terrorist, Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

That Purple Heart ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 26th.

A place and time have yet to be announced.

The families of the five servicemen who died during the July 16 terrorist attack in Chattanooga will also be awarded Purple Hearts.
