Man arrested for waving a gun and stopping traffic in Collinsville

Collinsville, AL (WDEF) – DeKalb County 911 got a call Friday morning about a man waving a gun that had traffic stopped on the Interstate near the Collinsville exit.

Law enforcement found 53-year-old Adam Eugene Finch from North Carolina sitting in his car.

Deputies and Drug Task Force agents got his permission to search the car and found a gun and 2 meth pipes laying in the back seat.

They called the DeKalb Ambulance Service to make sure Finch was okay.

Medical workers found Finch was under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Finch was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI of Controlled Substance.
