Judge Denies Motion To Drop Charges Against Ooltewah Adults
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Two coaches and the AD at Ooltewah High stood before a judge Thursday morning.
Athletic Director, Jesse Nayadley, Head Basketball Coach Andre Montgomery, and Assistant Coach Karl Williams were all in juvenile court accused of failing to report the crimes.
Their attorneys asked the judge to drop the charges against them.
However, the judge declined the request — saying the men should have reported the assault of four basketball players to local authorities, not just medical personnel in Gatlinburg, where the alleged crimes happened.
The judge set a preliminary hearing for the three men next Monday.
