Developing Story: Police believe double homicide was gang related

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher says his investigators believe that Sunday night’s double homicide on E. 13th Street was gang related.

A five year old boy apparently saw his mother and her boyfriend being shot and killed.

The boy was the one who called 9-1-1.

The victims were 24 year old George Dillard and 25 year old Lakita Hicks.

The boy is now with relatives.

The Family Justice Center and the CPD Victims Services Coordinator are working to make resources available to him.
