Charges upgraded against juvenile shooting suspect

East Ridge, TN (WDEF) – East Ridge Police have upgraded the charges against a juvenile involved in the shooting death of another teen on Friday.

The 15-year-old suspect now faces Reckless Homicide.

The victim 16-year-old Monserrate Ferrer passed away days after being shot at a home on Bennett Road.

The suspect was in a bedroom with the victim when the shooting happened.

East Ridge Police upgraded the charges after conferring with the D.A.’s Office.
