Report: EPA Wants Volkswagen to Build Electric Vehicles in Chattanooga

Chattanooga (WDEF) Volkswagen may have to invest heavily in electric vehicles in order to make-up for cheating on emissions tests.

German newspaper Welt am Sonntag reports the Environmental Protection Agency wants V-W to produce electric cars at its Chattanooga plant and help build a network of charging stations across the country.

The report does not specify it’s sources and the EPA had no comment.
