Two charged with car break-ins in Apison area

APISON (WDEF) – Hamilton County detectives arrest two people they believe were involved in a string of car break-ins in Apison.

Deputies got reports on Monday of a stolen stereo, pistol, credit cards and electronics out of vehicles along Alabama Road

On Monday, they charged 23 year old Tyler Kennedy Hanks with breaking into the vehicles.

Then on Tuesday, they charged 22 year old Kayla Brooke Covington with possession of stolen property.

Detectives say they recovered some of the stolen items.

Since the investigation is on-going, they ask anyone with more information on the break-in to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
