More than 500 volunteers made the marathon a success.
They cheered on the runners, made sure each athlete refueled, and handed out the medals.
Volunteer Stacey Boydston said it was an incredible experience.
“Tons of people have just given time and talent to come out here and make this the best event ever. To see the athletes come through. to the excitement of the spectators…the volunteers just jumping into help it has just been a miraculous experience.”
Marathon runner, Mike Alley said he was impressed with the course and the city of Chattanooga.
“For a fist time run this was very well put together and very well organized.”
