Victim dies from injuries in I-24 wreck two weekends ago

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The driver of a vehicle that crashed on I 24 more than a week ago has died from her injuries.

The 18 year old was travelling east near Lookout Valley Sunday morning, April 25th, around 5:30.

Investigators say her vehicle hit a guardrail, but they don’t know why.

The vehicle then crossed all lanes of traffic, left the interstate and hit a tree.

Police say she succumbed to her injuries a week later.
