Hixson Man Makes GEICO History

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Hixson man makes GEICO history.

Christopher Stevens is the insurance provider’s 14-millionth customer.

He purchased the record-breaking policy after buying a new car with GEICO’s mobile app.

To thank him, GEICO provided a limo trip, gift cards, and free food.

Greta Vaughan, with GEICO, says, “People from the regional office came to welcome him with, basically embrace him into the family and welcome him with some gifts and he came in a limousine today, we rolled out literally the red carpet. He came in, we had some goodies and we all celebrated and just got to know him and just had a great time.”

GEICO said the UTC mascot, Scrappy, also wanted to be there, but he had to head to the NCAA Tournament in Iowa where Chattanooga is taking on Indiana.
