Thrive 2055 Watershed Moment map unveiled
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The new Thrive 2055 Watershed Moment Map was unveiled Tuesday afternoon.
It’s a collaborative regional vision for our natural treasures in the area in the coming decades.
In a presentation at the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute, Thrive 2055 even launched “Hydro LIT,” a new toolkit for communities to take local action to protect watersheds.
“The whole purpose of this truly is to be able to really think about this region as it grows. And as we grow, to think about responsible, inspired choices – the water quality, the land, the beauty, the nature that surrounds us as we go and do it in a thoughtful way.” says Bridgett Massingill, the president and CEO of Thrive Regional Partnership.
The event is a collaborative effort BETWEEN the Southeast Tennessee Development District, the Lyndhurst Foundation, UTC, UT KNOXVILLE, and the Thrive 2055 Regional Partnership.
