Beer sales expanding at Mocs Football Games
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Mocs fans will soon have more options when it comes to beer at Finley Stadium.
“We are adding a second version of Finley’s Stadium Club, Stadium Club West, on the plaza above the field, closest to the First Tennessee Pavilion,” Stadium Corporation Executive Director Paul Smith said in a release.
“Anyone age 21 and over can enter the area and buy beer, along with Coca-Cola products and a limited amount of food menu items, during Chattanooga Mocs football games.”
The existing Stadium Club, located under the bleachers on the home side of Finley Stadium, has always sold beer during Mocs games, opening 15 minutes before kickoff on game days.
With the addition of Stadium Club West, fans will be able to purchase concessions 90 minutes before kickoff.
Both the Stadium Club and Stadium Club West will sell beer during Chattanooga Mocs football games, however all beer must be consumed inside the Stadium Club areas.
“We will still not sell beer in the stands – and people will not be able to take beer to their seats,” Smith said.
“We feel that beer sales on the plaza will enhance fans’ experience and draw more people to Mocs football games.”
The Chattanooga Mocs won their third straight Southern Conference football championship in 2015. The 2016 football season opens at Finley Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 1 against Shorter College.
