Finley Stadium Expanding Beer Sales For UTC Football Games

Chattanooga-(WDEF) When the Mocs kick off their football season next fall, UTC fans will be able to buy beer at Finley Stadium.
The stadium board has approved the measure.
Now the beer sales will be in a designated area, called Stadium Club West.
It’s the open end zone plaza opposite of the stadium’s big scoreboard.
Now if you buy a beer in Stadium Club West, you will not be able to take it to one of the seats.
Stadium director Paul Smith believes that adding beer sales at Finley will benefit UTC by leading to more ticket sales.
Saod Smith,”So we have sold beer at UTC games for years and years in the Stadium Club, which is our room under the home side. Anyone could go in there and drink, but they just couldn’t experience the game. So we’re not doing anything all that new. We’re just creating a Stadium Club West out here on the plaza that will just be an expansion of what we’ve been doing. The way we handled the beer sales and the crowd at US Women’s national game last year proved to the University that the stadium and stadium staff could handle a crowd much larger.”
The Mocs season opener at Finley Stadium will go down on a Thursday night. UTC will entertain Shorter on September 1st at 7pm.
