Norfolk Southern laying off workers at Debutt’s Railroad Yard

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Norfolk Southern Railways is drastically cutting back their operations in Chattanooga.

The company is laying off 41 workers here.

Chattanoogan.com reports that the railroad is cutting their operations at the Debutt’s Yard off Amnicola in half.

The company and labor relations officers will meet with workers Monday morning to explain the layoffs and transfer options.
