Storm Damage in Dalton and Dawnville Wednesday morning

DALTON (WDEF) – Whitfield County reports no injuries in this morning’s storm that swept through Dalton.

The worst wind damage was along the 2500 block of Cleveland Highway and stretching through neighborhoods northeast toward Dawnville in Murray County.

There were several tornado warnings in the region, and schools in Murray County were locked down while the storm passed.

Dalton Utilities quickly hit the scene around Cleveland Highway to take care of trees and downed power lines.

Dozens of people were out of power in Whitfield and Murray Counties.
