Chickamauga man arrested for aggravated assault after backing his car into another vehicle twice

FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (WDEF) – A Chickamauga man gets arrested for aggravated assault after sheriff’s deputies say he backed into a woman’s vehicle twice on Wednesday.

Sheriff Gary Sisk said around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday morning a female stopped at the red light at Battlefield Parkway at Old Mill Road was hit when the driver in front of her put his vehicle in reverse and backed into her.

Sisk said the driver was 29-year-old Emanuel Richard Davis.

Deputies say Davis then drove from the scene and pulled into the parking lot of Hutcheson on the Parkway.

The woman followed him into the parking lot and told him she called 911.

After hearing that, Sisk said Davis backed into her vehicle a second time.

As he sped off, the female said Davis pointed a small black handgun at her.

Deputies spotted Davis on Battlefield Parkway.

Once they stopped him, Davis was taken into custody.

After his arrest deputies found Crack Cocaine packaged for resale, two .380 caliber handguns and spent shell casings.

They also found a bullet hole in the passenger door.

Davis faces charges of aggravated assault, possession of a fire arm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of schedule II cocaine, possession of schedule II with intent to distribute, participation in criminal gang activity and multiple traffic offenses.
