Preliminary autopsy report released for Gatlinburg hot tub deaths
GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) — According to preliminary autopsy reports obtained by Local 8 News, Jon Levin and Myra Smith-Findell could have died from a possible drowning in a hot tub with no significant trauma or injury. Both victims also had various health conditions.
The reports detail that Levin of Oak Ridge had an enlarged heart with four chamber dilation, narrowing of arteries, a fatty liver disease, and increased fibrosis.
The report also says Smith-Findell of Corbin, Kentucky, had cardiovascular disease, an enlarged heart, narrowing of arteries, and a fatty liver disease.
