Officials Remind Residents To Drive Safe For Holiday Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is here, and that means a lot of holiday travelers will be out on the roads.
Highway traffic can be a bummer, but it’s important to stay safe.
The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Director, Harris Blackwood, gives a few tips to those who will be driving to Memorial Day parties and events.
“We want people to have a good time. If there is going to be alcohol at your event, then plan how you are going to get home. Either a ride service, stay in a hotel or designate a driver. As a friend of mine says, designated driver does not mean the least drunk driver. It means the person who has not been drinking.”
