Notre Dame High School Hires Former Boston College Head Coach Jeff Jagodzinski
Chattanooga, TN (May 6, 2017)- Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga has hired Jeff Jagodzinski as the assistant Head Coach for the Irish.

His knowledge and insight will be a tremendous asset to not only the athletic department but Notre Dame as a whole.” said Director of Athletics Matt Pobieglo. “He has a passion for young people which is evident in his personality and his desire to be at a strong Catholic and academic institution made him a great fit.”
Jagodzinski comes to Notre Dame with a wealth of experience as a long time NFL and collegiate assistant coach. Coach “Jags” was a successful head coach at Boston College where he posted a 20-8 record and won back to back ACC Atlantic Division titles. In 2007, Boston College team posted an 11-3 record and achieved a number two ranking. Jagodzinski’s career spans over three decades as he began in 1985 as the running backs coach at his alma mater, Wisconsin-Whitewater. He then coached at Northern Illinois(1986)and LSU(1987-88) before spending eight seasons at East Carolina as the offensive line coach. Jagodzinski would then go to Boston College (1997-1998)as the offensive coordinator for two seasons before joining the Green Bay Packers (1999-2003). He served as the tight ends and offensive line coach for the Atlanta Falcons (2004-2005) helping them to the NFC Championship game. In 2006, he was named offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers before being named head coach at Boston College. Jagodzinski has served in various roles throughout his career including as an NFL draft evaluator, consultant, an assistant at Ava Maria University, and most recently as an offensive coordinator for Georgia State University.

Jagodzinski has worked with top NFL talent that includes Hall of Famer Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, and mentored current Atlanta Falcon quarterback Matt Ryan. He earned his bachelor of science in Physical Education from Wisconsin-Whitewater where he was a three- year starter at fullback.
Jagodzinski and his wife, Lisa, have five children: Josh, JoAnne, Jessica, Jacqueline and Jennifer.
