Motorcycle fatality at the Hamilton/ Marion county line

Hamilton County, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigators are releasing additional details in regards to the fatal accident on Highway 134.

Preliminary results indicate that a male individual on a motorcycle travelling East on Highway 134 tried to negotiate a left hand curve and went off the right side of the road travelling down a steep embankment.

At this time, it has yet to be determined when the accident occurred.

The accident was found earlier this morning.

The name of the individual will be released once successful notification of next-of-kin has been properly made.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Traffic investigators are trying to find out what happened in a fatal motorcycle wreck near the Hamilton and Marion County border.

It happened on Highway 134, which parallels I 24 heading toward Nickajack Lake.

A small stretch of the highway is in Hamilton County as it leaves Georgia.

Deputies were called to the scene around 10:30 AM.

Investigators say it doesn’t look like any other vehicles were involved.

And they aren’t sure yet when it happened.

They shutdown the highway temporarily to conduct their investigation.
