Fire Department Rescues Man From Cliff
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a reported water rescue last night, but found a man had fallen off a cliff instead.
The victim had jumped a fence under the Hunter Museum observation deck and was found about 20 feet down a steep rock face, approximately 80 feet above the river.
Other than a few scratches, he was uninjured and rescued by using rope rescue techniques.
Assisting with the incident was a Battalion Chief from the Chattanooga Fire Department along with were fire and rescue units, the Chattanooga Police Department, and Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.
