Trump campaign opens office in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) –  The republican nominee for president, Donald Trump, now has an official headquarters in Chattanooga.

The office is located at 1926 Gunbarrel Road.

Volunteer opportunities will be available as well as political items to purchase.

Trump is only polling 1-percent of the African American vote nationwide, so News 12 asked Faye Robinson, President of Hamilton County Republican Women,  “What are you guys doing specifically out of this office to expand that African American vote here in the Chattanooga area?”

She answered, “That’s a good question.  We really want to improve that. We want to be inclusive. We hope to get the precinct areas of people who are registered to vote, but just have voter apathy and we want to work in those areas.”

Headquarter volunteers say they hope to sell items with Trumps name on them to get the word out about him in Hamilton County.
