North Jackson teacher raps about her students
STEVENSON, Alabama (WDEF) – Julie Holland Griggs has obviously heard a lot of excuses in her English class about why her 9th graders can’t write essays.
She teaches English classes at North Jackson High in Stevenson, Alabama.
But why get angry when you can just rap about it.
So she recorded this rap for Facebook (for the So Gone Challenge) to challenge her students to be just as creative in class as they are in their rhymes.
And we’ve included some of the reaction she has gotten from parents.
___
Julie King: “Wonderful! She complimented their talent while encouraging them to use those talents in the classroom!”
___
Danielle Lauharn “Ahhh she killed it .. Great Message and a way to maybe get through to the youth . Creative teacher.”
