The Tennessee River is one of North America’s most diverse waterways.
“Over 230 species of fish, we have 75 different muscles and crayfish and things like that. so there’s a whole lot going on in our rivers. as our region continues to grow we need to make sure we manage that thoughtfully in the future and that’s why this group is so important,” stated Anna George of the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute.
Later on this evening many of the conference attendees were recognized for their efforts and success during an awards banquet.
