East Ridge Police looking for home invasion suspect

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – East Ridge Police are combing the woods behind Fredrick Drive and Bennett Road for a home invasion suspect.

Captain Tim Mullinax says a man entered a woman’s home and threatened her.

Then he ran away.

And a resident on Laredo Drive says the man assaulted him.

Both victims were taken to the hospital to get checked out.

Police describe the suspect as a a black male, 5-feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds.
