Woman Sentenced for Cleveland Murder
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Cleveland woman will spend 15 years behind bars for killing her ex-boyfriend more than three years ago.
Alina Sherlin received the sentence Friday morning.
She was convicted of second degree murder in May.
Her family says Alina’s ex-boyfriend broke into her home drunk in August 2013, and Alina shot him in self-defense.
They say they plan to appeal the conviction.
