Cleveland pair faces drug charges at Harrah’s Casino
MURPHY, North Carolina (WDEF) – A Cleveland couple face drug charges at the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino.
On Friday, Cherokee Tribal Police called the Sheriff’s Department for help at two in the morning.
They took 32 year old Matthew Crackle and 23 year old Alison Hope Simpson into custody along with a large quantity of controlled substances and a handgun.
Matthew Crackle was charged with trafficking heroin and marijuana and carrying a concealed gun.
Simpson was charged with possession.
Sheriff Derrick Palmer stated “This was a great team effort in getting a large quantity of drugs off the street. We are always glad to assist our Tribal neighbors. Again, we see the disregard these folks have in mixing drugs and guns a very dangerous combination.”
