Free Children’s Dental Day
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Some dental problems later in life can be avoided if children get checked out early.
That’s the message from the Chattanooga State Dental Hygiene Clinic.
This was Free Children’s Dental day at the school.
Offered to kids from 4-to-13 years of age.
The dental hygiene students handled the checkups and cleanings.
The clinic is actually open every Monday and Wednesday from 8-to-5 to offer that service to the general public.
“We do referrals to dentists. So, all of our patients get dental referrals. We will send all the information over…we’ll send their xrays over, and all that is free of charge, you get the free duplicate X-rays,” says Shianne Henderson a student of the Chattanooga State Dental Hygiene School
The 2-year Dental Hygiene program at Chattanooga state accepts 20 students a year.
