New Georgia polls show Donald Trump holding narrow leads in Georgia

ATLANTA (WDEF) – New polls show Hillary Clinton is leaving Donald Trump behind in key battleground states.

But Georgia isn’t one of them.

Two polls out today show Trump with a narrow lead in the Republican-dominated state that has been surprisingly close in the Presidential race.

A Landmark Communications poll has Trump 47%, Clinton 43%, Johnson 5% (with a margin of error at 4%)

The poll conducted after this week’s debate also found that Trump does well with senior voters, white votes and male voters.

Clinton scores with women, African Americans and Independents.

While respondents were split on who won the debate, people who watched it were more likely to vote for Clinton.

Those who didn’t strongly favor Trump.

“Ultimately the debates seem to have helped Hillary Clinton slightly more,” said Mark Rountree, President of Landmark Communications, Inc.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution also released a poll today that shows the race closer in Georgia.

Their margin is Trump leading by 44% to 42% (margin of error 4.3%).
