Mocs RB Richardre Bagley Makes Most of His Start Against VMI

Chattanooga,TN (WDEF) Mocs All SoCon running back Derrick Craine did not play against VMI thanks to an ankle injury, but Chattanooga’s ground game didn’t miss a beat.
Richardre Bagley got the start in place of Craine, and he rushed for nearly 200-yards in the UTC victory.
Mocs coach Russ Huesman knows if you want to have a good offense, then you better have depth at running back.
Said Huesman:”That’s a position where if you go in and say you’ve got one, and the rest of these guys ain’t no good, you’re going to be in trouble because they’re going to take a beating.”
Richardre Bagley made his coach look good last Saturday, rushing for a career high 189-yards.
Said Bagley:”I don’t know about pressure, but I definitely felt like I wanted to do the best that I can. I feel like that’s how I am every time I go out on the field. I always want to do my best.”
Said Huesman:”It’s fun when really good people have success like that.”
Said Bagley:”I’m definitely happy I could contribute and all that good stuff. I’m never satisfied as far as anything. I always want to do more.”
Bagley had such a hot hand, Coach Huesman kept calling his number on consecutive plays.
Said Bagley:”When we first ran it, it got a good couple of amount of yards. Then we ran it again and again and again. I was like oh man, I guess they’re loving this play. I think around the fourth time, I had to tap out. I had to let Alex Trotter go in and get a couple of carries. They ran it with him about twice.”
With Craine still in limbo with an ankle injury, Bagley may be the main man again this weekend against Western Carolina.
Said Bagley:”I want to get as many yards as I possibly can. I just want to make my line look good. That’s all I really want to do. I’m definitely excited for this week and see what happen.”
The Mocs and Catamounts kick at 3:30 Saturday in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
