CFC Celebrates Fifth Straight Year in the NPSL Playoffs

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The CFC punched their ticket to the playoffs last week for the fifth year in-a-row.
The only year they didn’t make the playoffs was during their first season in 2009.
So what has made the local team so successful?
The CFC has built their team in the same manner as a successful college program.
Recruiting.
Said general manager Sean McDaniel,"We go find the best talent we can bring in here. And honestly the reputation of the city. The great hospitality it provides. It actually generates interest from players around the country to want to come play here."
McDaniel and the management team are also committed to making the CFC a winner.
Said head coach Bill Elliott,"The management team and board has just done a great job of trying to keep pace and make a few adjustments each year to keep us ahead of the game with a little bit of a competitive advantage. It’s working so far."
Said McDaniel,"One of the things we committed to with Coach Elliott was to allow enough budget and resources to bring in a deep bench."
The CFC has twice played for the NPSL national title, and they’re geared up for another title run.
Said McDaniel,"Our intention is to win. We want to win and win at a high and national level. So far so good."
Reporter-"Do ya’ll talk a lot about win the whole thing?"
Said defender Jordan Dunstan,"Yes. We can. We have the players to do it, so go for it."
The CFC also has the fans to do it.
The Chattahooligans have been instrumental in the CFC’s success.
Said McDaniel,"Well I think their reputation could be equal, if not greater than the team."
Said Elliott,"I think the Chattahooligans, although it may be a small part of the fan base, those people come in, and they get the other fans excited about the game."
Reporter-"How much feedback do you get from other teams about the Chattahooligans?"
"Said Dunstan,"No one likes playing here. The fans are great. It’s intimidating."
