Bradley Co. Sheriff’s Office takes homicide suspect into custody
UPDATE: Christopher John Taylor has been taken into custody, according to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
There is no threat to the public.
This is an ongoing investigation.
UPDATE: The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in the homicide that occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at a residence on Lowery Street NE.
They say as a result of the ongoing investigation, detectives have identified the suspect as Christopher John Taylor, and an arrest warrant has been issued charging him with Second Degree Murder.
Taylor is described as:
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 175 pounds
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Last seen wearing: An orange t-shirt over a white tank top, black shorts, and black shoes.
Taylor should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him and to immediately call 911.

BRADLEY COUNTY — The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is investigating a homicide that occurred on Lowery Street NE during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
They say deputies responded to a report of an assault in progress at a residence and while in route, deputies were advised that the suspect had fled the scene.
Upon arrival, deputies located an adult victim inside the residence suffering from a severe injury.
The BCSO says deputies immediately initiated life-saving measures. Bradley County EMS continued advanced medical care upon arrival; however, despite those efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
They say witnesses were present at the scene and are currently being interviewed by detectives as the investigation continues.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and no additional information will be released.
