Former Pastor pleads guilt to attempted rape of a child

ALTAMONT, Tennessee (WDEF) – A pastor from Palmer, Tennessee has entered a guilty plea to attempted rape of a child.

Tim Smith was arrested last May when a Grundy County deputy found him in a truck in the woods near Gruetli Laager with a 12 year old girl.

He was pastor of the Palmer Church of God at the time.

The Grundy County Herald reports that Smith got a 9 and a half year term in the plea deal.
